If I were a Big Pharma executive, collecting my $30 million dollar per year compensation package of salary, perks, and share options, I would be running scared. Let me explain.
It is becoming clearer and clearer that insights into the microbiome are yielding effective means of reversing—actually reversing, not just mitigating or suppressing symptoms, but reversing–health conditions back to normal. Witness, for instance, the emerging science demonstrating that grand mal seizures can be reversed by cultivating Akkermansia and Parabacteroides in the intestines, even after multiple courses of anti-seizure medications and seizure-reversing procedures failed. Witness what we are accomplishing with our L. reuteri yogurt that eliminates appetite, facilitates weight loss, rebuilds lost youthful muscle, amps up libido, cuts wound healing time in half, and smoothes skin wrinkles—you can’t accomplish all that with prescription drugs. And we do it inexpensively, safely, in the comfort of your kitchen.
We are on the verge of a world in which we can reverse, say, Parkinson’s disease with a probiotic regimen and completely do away with hundreds to thousands of dollars per month of ineffective and costly drugs. The list of conditions that we can effectively address I believe will include Lou Gehrig’s disease, restless leg syndrome, psoriasis, rosacea, and many others. (Of course, I mean that we add such probiotic strategies on top of the Undoctored Wild, Naked, Unwashed strategies for even greater effects. You cannot hope to effectively reverse an autoimmune condition, for instance, without eliminating the gliadin protein of wheat and related grains that initiates autoimmunity, nor will you have full success without vitamin D and omega-3 fatty acid restoration.)
I don’t know how much longer the Big Pharma party will last. We could end it today if most people in North America and elsewhere simply embraced the basic regimen advocated in the Undoctored Wild, Naked, Unwashed program. This alone reverses type 2 diabetes, obesity, most acid reflux and irritable bowel syndrome, many autoimmune diseases, hypertension, hypertriglyceridemia, seborrhea, and many other conditions. The booming insights into the microbiome will patch the holes in our knowledge, giving us better tools to deal with health conditions not entirely responsive to our basic efforts.
We can already accomplish some pretty astounding things, such as:
- Reverse fibromyalgia–Readily accomplished by following the basic Undoctored Wild, Naked, Unwashed program, then addressing small intestinal bacterial overgrowth, SIBO, that virtually 100% of people with fibromyalgia have.
- Reverse fatty liver–Even though your doctor will tell you that there is nothing you can do for fatty liver (meaning there are no prescription drugs or procedures) and that you wait for cirrhosis, then liver failure, to set in, followed by an (awful) liver transplant, you can reverse it within weeks all the way back to normal–at virtually no cost, no risk, with little effort.
- Reverse age-related muscle loss–If we view muscle mass and strength as a biomarker of age and vigor, we have the means to restore youthful muscle within weeks. This is one of the effects of the oxytocin-boosting effects of L. reuteri.
- Reverse osteoporosis/osteopenia
Given a choice of a Big Pharma product that costs something like $4800 per month (e.g., Humira) to “treat” Crohn’s disease or psoriasis, is packed with side-effects such as peculiar fungal infections, lymphoma, leukemia, headaches, nausea, liver failure, and reactivation of hepatitis B versus an Undoctored program of altered food choices, vitamin D, iodine, magnesium, fish oil, and efforts to cultivate bowel flora with side effects such as reversal of type 2 diabetes, reversal of overweight and obesity, increased energy and mental, clarity, freedom from joint pain, etc. at a teensy-teensy fraction of the cost of the drug, I believe the choice is clear.
