I hosted the Undoctored 3-Part Workshop on CT Heart Scans and Coronary Calcium Scores last week during our Undoctored Virtual Meetup for Undoctored Inner Circle Members. Here is the recorded version for both Undoctored Members and non-Members to view.
In this presentation, I discuss:
- How does a CT heart scan work?
- What is a coronary calcium score?
- Why measure calcium–is it a reliable way to gauge risk?
- How much radiation is involved?
- Once you have a coronary calcium score, what happens to it? Can it be stopped or reversed?
- Do statin drugs have any effect?
- What is the effect of diet?
- When should you repeat a score?
I will be presenting Part II of the Workshop on Wednesday, March 18th, 2020 at 8 pm EDT/7 pm CDT/6 pm MDT/5 PM PDT, Part III on Wednesday, March 25th in the same time slots.
Among the topics I will cover in Part II and III are:
- How reliable are the scores?
- What do they predict?
- What happens if you do nothing?
- What effect do statin cholesterol drugs have?
- Can coronary calcium scores be reduced or reversed?
Part II and III are only available to Undoctored Inner Circle Members. If you are interested in these deeper dives into CT heart scans, coronary calcium scores, a better way to reduce/eliminate risk for heart disease, as well as all other Undoctored resources, I invite you to join our Unodoctored Inner Circle community.
Where can I ( a member) hear recordings of CT hear scans workshop?
They are posted in the Video section at the Undoctored Inner Circle: https://innercircle.undoctored.com/videos.aspx. As a member, you’ll be able to view all of the videos. Non-members can only view videos that are defined as “free”.
